Where to now Oman?
Following the passing of HM Sultan Qaboos on 10 January 2020, many people in Oman and the region were left wondering where the Sultanate might head in terms of its international relationships, and how the country would develop and grow without the leadership of HM Sultan Qaboos, the ruler of the country for the past 49 years.
At Davos the Oman Minister of Commerce and Industry, HE Dr Ali Al-Sunaidi, was interviewed by Bloomberg. He provided a very clear summation of how Oman would continue in its international role as "friend to all and enemy to none" - as developed and executed by HM Sultan Qaboos. He also confirmed that Oman was focussed on diversifying its economy. All very positive and reassuring for the world, and for those keen to undertake business in the Sultanate.
